Irrational by Design?

Introduction to Behavioral Economics

What is human nature? Do human beings follow the mind or the heart, are they rational or emotional? Behavioral Economics, a new discipline which emerged from a cooperation between economists and psychologists, provides a fascinating new perspective on these questions. Data gained from experiments shows the way to better answers when it comes to making plans, designing choices, managing people and running organizations. This seminar will look at the groundbreaking work of Daniel Kahnemann, Dan Arielly and other behavioral economists, with a focus of applying their insights to the participants’ professional and private life.
